Sportsbook Poker, withdrawal problems

I was bored of Full Tilt and had heard good things about Sportsbook Poker from a friend of mine so I transferred some funds there and really do like the tournament action. I requested a withdrawal of about a third of my bankroll (my initial deposit) on July 7th. I received a confirmation email immediately and was told to expect my check within 2-3 weeks. My friend said it usually took about a week to get a check from them for him.

I got an email on July 17th saying:

"Since the UIGEA was passed almost 2 years ago, it has had varied success in clamping down on banking transactions involved with online gaming. Unfortunately, the easiest form of transactions to trace and tackle are paper checks sent out to you, our customer. As a result of this, all of our current check processors have found it increasingly difficult to get your checks to you. This is what has caused the delay with your current withdrawal request.

We faced a similar situation last year, admittedly on a much bigger scale, which we were able to eventually resolve. It took a little time and a lot of effort, but we have never missed a payout and I assure you we never will.

So, where does this leave you and your money? Truthfully, at the moment we don't have a definite timeframe for the situation to be resolved. We promise you that we will keep channels of communication open and we will be proactive with that communication. We promise to email you with a weekly update to let you know we are taking the situation very seriously and we promise to contact you as soon as there is any development.

Our agents will be more than happy to take your chats, e-mails or calls but please be aware that you will be kept up to date and have as much information as they will.

So once again, I would like to apologize for this very unfortunate situation. You can expect an email from us within the week to fully update you regarding the situation.
We are always here to help you. Please feel free to reply to this email if you have any additional questions in relation to this or any other matter.
Kind regards,"

The short of it is they aren't issuing checks right now, yet they don't let you know until you request a withdrawal and they offer NO other methods of getting your money off the site. It really annoys me that they make it so easy to get your money on the site, but make it nearly impossible to get it off the site. I'm not worried about them scamming me as I know other people who have had no problems with the site, but I was expecting to use that money in Vegas this week and now I have to pull it out of other accounts.

Remember the glory days of neteller??

I was part of that problem they mentioned from last year. I got my check, but it took about six to eight weeks. You have my sympathy. And yes, I'm constantly annoyed at how easy it goes in, but how long it takes to come out. But yet, I continue to play...

Yea I think I'm going to just try to empty my account there, I don't trust them. They actually charge a $40 fee if u make anything more than 1 deposit within the same month.

Re: Sportsbook Poker, withdrawal problems

Well my withdrawal emptying my account was put in 7-22, yesterday (9-5) I got an email saying my check was sent to the courier yesterday and I would be getting it in 10-15 days. I sent them 3-5 emails a week the entire process because I didn't trust them, and to hopefully bug them into processing my withdrawal faster. I don't think they're lying at this point, theyve been content giving me the same BS answers for almost 2 months I don't see why that would change now.
