Re: Screenshot help

In Windows you can do a function key (Fn) key + print screen (PrtSc) key, open MS Paint and then edit/paste the results. From there just save as a jpeg file.

if this doesn't work it might be shift + prtsc, depending on your keyboard. i have to use the fn key on my laptop and the shift key on my pc at work.

And on mine it's Alt+PrintScreen to capture the active window, not the desktop.

Anyway, I'm on it via PM.

Re: Screenshot help

I use Clip2Net.

Clip2Net - The easiest way of web publishing and file sharing

It lets you choose the window or size you want to clip. It gives you the option to save as a .jpg on your computer or put on their server. I usually just save the file. Saves a few steps by not having to go into Paint to crop or anything. Great for posting chip mockups too!

Thanks squiggly I may have to try that. I wish abby wouldn't be so secretive with her method.

Not secretive, just wordy, and I was asking questions. Here goes (for a PC):

The window you want needs to be the active window.
Alt+PrntScrn
Open MS Paint
Edit - Paste in Paint
Save as JPEG file

Upload to Image Shack
Follow basic directions here, but in step 4, before uploading, select the option to optimize without resizing and the option to remove size/resolution bar from thumbnail.

From "My Images", copy the embeddable code for forums and paste it directly into the ChipTalk message window.

LMK if you have any questions.
