Chips: 533 | | | running hotter than Hades I knew I have been running insanely hot in the micro stakes the last few days, so I opened up PT to see just how sick it has been. Very interesting results.
My last ~4k hands I am up nearly 10 buy-ins (amazing for me as a long term losing to break even player)
At first glance, I have gotten AA 24 times, more than any other pocket pair, so that explains it, right? No it doesn't... I have netted $2.55 from all those aces. Less than any other PP except 33 and 44 (both small losers)
Just thought I would share... I'm just happy that this streak is getting me back into the online black for the first time in a long time, and hopefully I have finally figured out online poker (at least micro 6 max games)
For those interested, I have been running 21/19/5 25bb/100 over those 4k hands.
Don't worry, I will be willing to counter this thinly veiled brag when I get hit by the back side of the variance hammer. |

But be careful, just because you are "hot" right now, doesn't mean you have figured out online poker, keep trying to learn to ensure you dont become a losing player again.
...variance really is a b***h, and a "cold" streak could be just round the corner, make sure you are prepared. |

Also, congrats and keep it up. | 25NL ... was 1 buyin away from my goal for starting taking swings at 50NL and the variance hammer nailed the hell out of me.
My last 4k hands have been brutal... continually getting crushed... pretty good mix of horrible beats and massive tilt due to it.
Losing with AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, 99... Set over set after set over set. Flopped nut straights keep running into runner runner FH's.
Time for a couple days off I think.
Poboy... do you know how to get pokerev to work with PT3? It loaded my old database (I was just above expectation on the 4k hands I started the thread about) but then I moved to PT3 and can't get it loaded. |

I was pretty underwhelmed with PT3, especially since I played at UB alot, so I don't use it.
Good news is you were playing pretty good while getting good cards (as opposed to getting bailed out by them).

and
What I get from this is that I ran a little warm for a while, and I have been running way below expectation since then... am I wrong? Am I more of a donkey than I thought? |

I'm Jahworks on UB. I moved back to FTP recently though. It was tough leaving the fish at UB, but the rake/BBJ structure there sucks.

I knew I was making some fishy plays, mostly tilted after loosing 4 buyin pots getting AI on turn in multi-way with the nuts. Or loosing with my KK to A2 that I got to shove pf.
I've noticed that I def get it in too light pf... run AK or JJ into KK or AA too often. I think thats why my luck graph is in the red, but obv doesnt explain being $300 below expectation on the luck graph.
I just moved from UB to FTP myself, wider player base, rakeback, more integrity of the company, etc... | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
