thought the game was too juicy to leave. |

It is another thing again to say " 83 of spades call me" when you are holding pocket 10s (yeah, I know that comment is also nebulous and can be interepted other ways) .
IMO it is a totally different thing and crosses my moral boundary to do both together " 83 of spades call me" in conjunction with the earlier " guys i gotta go". How far down the bluffing continuum do you stick your 'no-go" point? This one crosses mine.
If someone did this at our home game they'd be run out of town.

Why? Why not just sit out? Is it fair to the other players that you double one guy up? Do you care about fairness?
Also just by sitting out you may hit the money. |

That person would get shot right at the table. | It's online poker and because of the anonymity some people just don't care. It's not the old days, it's now, there's no table, there's a keyboard and a monitor. People act differently behind a keyboard, now you mix in gambling even at these stakes and it's like sweet old granny but now she's behind a steering wheel. Now she's the aggressive driver, cussing at people who cut her off or drive too slow for her liking. Some people just act differently when taken out of their normal settings. I'm not condoning either action but I can understand it.
Also, even without the b.s. line of "guys i gotta go".."83 of spades call me" line , pcvandelay might have called EyeHeartYou A.I. anyways. Who knows. Don't sweat the small stuff.

In reality - just turn chat off - having chat on for those level of tournies is useless and can only be a distraction. |
