this is only different from a raise to 300 with AA in a small way.

i routinely see massive raises with very strong preflop hands b/c of the fear of getting sucked out on. IMO, a 6x raise or so is pretty much equally bad as it often opens your hand up. oh well...people can play their stacks any way they like.

it tells me what you have. of course this only works if we have history...but there are several players i know that do this regularly, and only with huge hands.

Even worse than that, a raise to 300 really commits you if a couple of players call
and the flop is Kxx or Qxx.
