details (not nailed down yet...)

• 18 CT members participate.
• each participating member ships the TD $167 via w/e approved method.
• we run a weekly tournament on p*. NLHE buyin $5.50. p* handles payouts as usual.
• scores are kept track of via the standard CT scoring system.
• we count all 8 weeks scores for each player (or 7/8, whatever...we'll figure it out)
• the leader in points at the end of 8 weeks is the winner man (or lady).
• 18*167= $3006 is awarded to the winner. all participants agree that if they win the money will be used either *for one $1500 entry fee plus traveling costs or *2 x $1500 entries at the wsop 2009.

that's the plan in a nutshell. if you're interested, pipe up. we could run 1, 2, or 15 of these throughout the year if y'all want to.

so no, mostly i really mean 09. if it worked for this year it'd be great too. i'm just going with what seems most likely.

sounds cool....but does 1 person really need $1,506 in travel funds? i would say either do top 2 players make it or do 2nd get like $500 or somethin. i dont really care cuz im playing anyways....but thought id throw it out their.

During the WSOP, yes, you do need that kind of scratch for travel & accomodation. Prices are likely much higher that month for everything. I'm in for '09.

EDIT: Plus, if I were to win, I'd be flying from Toronto, and our flights are a lot more expensive than yours.

Such a good idea. I posted a "maybe" as i don't turn 21 until this summer...so 2009 works for me but 2008 won't. And, when will the games start? I think november-december or.. like feb would be best for me. When are you thinking about starting this thing?
