let's say...
we did a weekly $25.50 tournament. $5.50 would go to p*, and get paid out as usual. the remaining $20 would go into escrow (paypal payments to the TD?).
we could say the tournaments run on a weekly basis a minimum of 20 weeks, or until the money in escrow topped $3000. the participants would agree that with that 3k, the winner would play a 1500 nlhe wsop event, and use the remaining 1500 for flight/hotel.
this seems pretty easy/simple to me.
9 players per week (180 per week. 3000/180= 17 weeks).
18 players per week (360 per week. 8 weeks).
so this thing could get together in a jiff.
even bettter (i think): the players commit beforehand. if there were 18 players interested, they'd pay the 20*8=160 into escrow ahead of time. the tournaments would be set up and we'd go with the same 18 player field each week for whatever two months we ran the thing. this would simplify things and guarantee that attendance would stay strong if someone took a big lead.
