| Re: p* wsop steps: follow my path to 10 million i'd keep the money if i get through the steps. it's a lotta money, yo, and building a bankroll is tough.
so what i'd look for on sharkscope: # of tournaments played. under 500 he's probably pretty new to sngs. obv the more he plays the more experienced he is. this doesn't mean he's good but it leads to... roi: if there's a big sample this is your best indicator of how good he is. most importantly is if he has a negative number (donkey) or a positive number over a large sample. average stakes: for whatever that's worth. mostly it's interesting to me to see the range of guys playing the steps
so...based on that stuff, the better the guy is the more you should believe him early (b/c standard sng strategy is to play VERY tight until 50/100 or so), and you should believe him less later (b/c he should be shoving with a fairly wide range later).
the problem is that with really good bubble strategy it won't matter that you know he has nothing quite a bit, b/c good bubble strategy is fairly hard to exploit.
but for bad players, you can confirm more quickly for yourself that he's playing too many hands (or folding too many later). for instance if a guy with a big losing number seems to be playing way too tight at the bigger levels, i'd go ahead and pound on his blind, assuming that he's EV- b/c he's playing too tight. or if you think he's pushing every button, and see that he's a big loser, then you can confirm much quicker that he's shoving way too much and more happily call him down with AJ (or whatever). |
