Chips: 2,752 | | | Favorite and least favorite online sites The online poker landscape has changed since UIGEA, and it's been a while since we've discussed this topic (unless my search missed a recent thread).
What are your favorite and least favorite sites, and why?
Where do you play the most, and why?
Anything else you care to share?
I'll start.
My favorite site is Full Tilt because I have my best results there, and I can usually find a good non-NLHE game. The interface is good but with a cartoonish feel. When I get bored I like to play around with the emotions of my avatar.
My least favorite site is Ultimate Bet, even though I prefer their bonus program (uncleared bonus points don't expire on active accounts). Their non-NLHE ring games are soft, but traffic is very low. I have concerns about cheating but have decided that I'm unlikely to run into this in low-stakes games. Their live hand histories are difficult to use.
My other least favorite site is Poker Stars, but only because I don't do as well there. Granted, my sample size is small, but except for CT events I prefer to play where the games are easier to beat. P* does get my vote for the best interface and live hand histories.

I don't give much about how the tables looks, since I don't have avatars activated and I'm playing 2-3 tables, but there's always action 24/7 and the bonus was easy to clear, aaand you can get rakeback there.

Now I don't have a lot of reason to move because their incentives for high volume players are better than Pstars, and at the midstakes the action between the two sites is about as good as Pstars (pstars has even more reg pros that I run into at the other two sites combined).
So I play on AP and FTP because they give me the most rakeback and bonus money every month which adds up to quite a bit when you are playing 30k hands of mid-limits every month. |

I joke, actually, Stars is my current fave. I used to really like Pokerroom, but now it's my most hated, there's hardly ever any players there (it's a Euro site and the times are all screwy). |

Not to pick on you, Jim (especially because I'm not 1/10 the player you are), but
I think a poker site's integrity should be paramount. And that's why I play at PokerStars.
But, ooooooooooooh!!!! do I miss Party. |

But, ooooooooooooh!!!! do I miss Party. | I actually agree with you for the most part. But since I would have trouble moving 20k from AP to pstars (no neteller anymore) and having a considerable chunk of my roll out of comission would hinder my bottom line there isn't a lot I can do about it. Plus I get close to 1k in free money from AP every month, and considering I typically only play about 5-10k hands a month there I don't think that Pstars can match that.
if poker wasn't my way to pay the bills I probably would have made the move to pstars because I appreciate what they have done for US players post UIGEA. But since my money is my way of making more money I'm kind of handcuffed. |

I don't like UB, lousy SW, can't get on a waiting list w/o it freezing my computer, the HH sucks - if it shows up at all, it's too late. But I play there because the games are soft and 3% more RB than FT. I really don't like Absolute's SW either. It looks like 70s vomit.

I've pretty much given up on the rest. I used to play at Party, Titan and Doyle's Room before the internet gaming ban here in the USA, but those accounts are long closed.

I started at FTP and only set up my P* account when I wanted t start playing in the CT Thur night game. After playing there I liked it more than FTP so I basically never funded my FTP account any more.
I do think the software at P* is better than FTP, but some of the features at FTP (like the "I'm ready button for SnG's) are better than P*. I also like some of the games that are offered at FTP like the knock out tournies
After reading the comments about the games being softer I may need to drop some money into FTP again

Otherwise it's UB, because of the rakeback I have there and bonuses. Traffic is low at times but I find the games soft. They also have a really good rewards program now.
