Re: Unbelieveable Hand!!!!

Ouch!

A week ago Saturday I busted out of a live tournament when my AA lost to 666. Later in that same tournament a friend busted out when his AA lost to 666. Both were sets (pocket sixes with a six on the board). Sigh!

Re: Unbelieveable Hand!!!!

Wow, three sets on one flop, that's unreal!

And Aces cracked . . . yeah **it happens. Pocket 66s look fine to some people.

Re: Unbelieveable Hand!!!!

But this one really delivers.

Re: Unbelieveable Hand!!!!

I just got Doyle Brunson's 50 most memorable hands book and there's a similar hand described within.

Doyle held pocket Aces and the flop came out A-4-2, he bet out and both the other players still in raised, then Doyle capped it. The turn was another 2, betting again was capped by Doyle. River was another 4, Doyle checked and the other two bet and raised. Doyle folded Aces full and both of the other players turned over quads!!!

By the way, this book is wonderful. If you haven't picked it up, it's worth it just for the storytelling!

Re: Unbelieveable Hand!!!!

I came in 288th and got 32 bucks.
not bad, but I would have made a lot more had I not lost that hand.

as for the late night tourney, I was going to play last night but something came up. I would play tonight, but I have a test tomorrow and I haven't looked at any info on it yet, so I will be cramming tonight.
I love college. 3-5 hrs studying and you get a B-A if you do it right
definetly tomorrow night after the chip talk tourney!
