Chips: 20,911 | | | Interest in a regular late night, low stakes game on P* I would like to gauge interest in a regular/semi regular late night online game on P*. It would be a tourney style game.
I know I play online late most nights. As much as I like playing "Random" players I like playing people I know a lot more. That's what got me thinking about having regular late night, low stakes private SnG's. I am thinking we could have 2-3 a week (or more if desired). Run them on nights like Tues, Wed, Thur starting at 10- 10:30 PM Central time. Buy in of $5 +$.50. Days of the week are not set in stone, just an idea by me. We can figure out how many games and what days if there is enough inerest. The time can be figured out as well to best suit the majority of the players, but I'd like to have it later since that's when I am on anyway
If they are popular enough we could even explore adding a league style scoring system like the Thur. games but with the amount of games we could sturcture it so not playing in every game wouldn't "Kill" your score.
So what does everyone think? good idea or bad idea? I set up a poll with a simple yes or no answer. if there is enough interest we can work through the logistics and get this going. |

Like many posters before have said, it's more fun when you know (well, sort of, you know what I mean) your opponents, the most enjoyable online tourney I've played in was a chiptalk thursday night one for this reason. |

We had 13 players, and it lasted 2:13.

I used SnG only because without a known number of players I can't call it an MTT for sure
I have already set one up for this Wednesday 3/26 at 10PM CST. I will start another thread with all the info. I link to the other thread will be posted here momentarily
As far as I'm concerned I can set up a $5 private tourney for every night - maybe call it the "CT daily" (I will need to get permission to call it that obviously). I do not want to interfere with the Thur. and Mon. games, but I think the later starting time will not interfere & will actually give those who bust out of the regular games another option to play in. |
