Sunday Million - Should I bother?

Thread title pretty much says it all. I won a ticket the other day, and have got the T$ ready to blow on it.

Should I take the shot at this, or should I break up the T$ and blow it on some smaller buyins, maximizing my chances?

Re: Sunday Million - Should I bother?

Hmmmm, this is a decision I battle with every sunday. On one hand the sunday million tickets are VERY easy to win. I play the $39r sats and in the month of Jan I won approx 20 tickets out of playing 25 times (stars used to run 3 of these every night, now only 2 times a night). If it is easy for you to win a seat then I do think you should give the sunday million a few shots and see what happens. The tourney field is pretty weak, most of the field won a seat in a cheap sat. I think I'm going to play today and give it another shot.

I do think you would get a better return if unregistered and used the T$ to play several smaller tourneys. The $109 and the $55 are good ones to take some shots with. I usually just unregister and get the T$ to play smaller tourneys or SNG's.

Chuck

Re: Sunday Million - Should I bother?

Increase your odds by playing several smaller buy-in tourneys.

I also like to sell some extra T$ to cashmanbrian.com

Re: Sunday Million - Should I bother?

I think it really only depends on one factor. Is the $216 significant to your roll? If it is very significant then I would vote with draw and play 18 $11 45 or 180mans or something simililar. If it's not really that significant I say play your game in the millions and hope for a big break.

Re: Sunday Million - Should I bother?

Heh, it's too late now - I'm going to maximize the T$ and play a few smaller buy-in tournies.

Re: Sunday Million - Should I bother?

The other thing to consider is the amount of time you need to invest if you want to play the sunday million. That sucker goes way into the early morning hours I believe.

But isn't there one every Sunday?

Seriously, using the T$ to play a few smaller buy-in tournaments is probably the best course of action until you're ready to take a shot at the Sunday million. My guess is that if you had to ask, you're not ready. You'll probably feel ready fairly soon, when you're running g00t (like last night!).

Re: Sunday Million - Should I bother?

Take the T$215 and use it for other tourneys. At some point in the future if you get more entries, you probably should play it once just for the experience. Pat did that last week and beat out 3,000 players, which was only half the field!
