Chips: 575 | | | Signup Bonus vs. Rake Has anybody ever signed up for a poker site through an affiliate, such as PSO, in order to get a decent bonus after completing a certain amount of hands, and then...
a)...gotten that same account switched to rakeback
b)...abandoned the first account and started a second account, this time with rakeback (likely through a different affiliate)
Just curious. I'm in the middle of my PSO promos for Ultimate Bet / Absolute Poker / Vegas247 Poker, and it would be nice to keep playing there after I get my bonuses, but rakeback would make it so much nicer. I haven't done anything with FTP yet, but if I could do something like that there, that would be nice as well. |

a) No, I don't believe PSO will allow you to do this because of how they get paid for you signing up. I've tried. Let me know if you manage to get something switched.
b) this is almost always against the poker site's terms of use agreement, and is thus not entirely ethical to do. I have not done it, though I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to do.
DEFINITELY GET RAKEBACK AND NOT THE BONUS AT FULLTILT!!!
Absolute, Fulltilt and UB are the best sites to do Rakeback on, but you really only need one good site. Fulltilt always has action so it's the one to go with if you can. Everyone needs at least one good rakeback site if you play poker online regularly.

Different email address + different snail mail address + different IP = "I'm not that guy, I'm somebody else with the same name and birthdate living in the same city" |

[Using Full Tilt as an example, through PSO if I do a "Free Gift" promo, I get 12000 points after 250 raked hands (which is basically $120). At that point, I've cleared about $15 of any deposit bonus which they've given me ($3 every 50 points clear rate), so I now have a $135 bonus to my bankroll, which is good for me because my bankroll is micro. At this point, now I would want rakeback.] |

Rakeback is worth much more if you plan to play a site long term.

Chips: 575 | | | Re: Signup Bonus vs. Rake There are lots of rakeback affiliates, and I am looking for one. PM me if you have one you prefer, and why you prefer it (use subject: rakeback). Even something as simple as "My bestest friend in the whole world runs it" is a good enough reason for me. If you're reading this and it is January 27, 2008 or later, please don't PM me anything. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
