I've finally reached $500 in my P*'s account.

A little history.

I've been on Stars since Dec '05. Put some cash in '06 donked off $150. Put some money in this year approx. $150-$200 and donked that away. Sold some play chips for $142 and in October started playing. I played at that time SNG's & H.U. and had a good October. I then was stuck at $400 and couldn't improve on those figures in November. I almost cashed out because I was becoming frustrated by the bad beats and some poor play on my part.

I then took the majority of December off but decided to play some micro 6 handed cash games at .05/.10, for the last two weeks of December (give or take). I play about an hour a night (give or take) and then close up shop. Hit the number tonight and shut it down. $500.11 to be exact, not much for some but I'll take it.


I know there are holes in my game and hopefully I can improve to add to this number.

Congrats. As a little brag myself I deposited $60 2 weeks ago on 12/28 (after a year or so hiatus) and have ballooned that up to $2K. Played a $55 SnG, came in 2nd or 3rd (I forget) then just did NL cash games appropriate to my bankroll which is what I've never done in the past. I'm still just playing 1/2 NL but looking forward to bumping up.

In 2004 and 2005 I did well playing strictly tournaments. Late 2005 I found myself just doing cash and playing waaaay beyond my bankroll so I would commonly find myself with a zero balance since I left no buffer for suckouts and just being beat when i thought I had the upper hand. Playing within your bankroll is so key. Now I'm in a position to bust out of a buyin and think nothing of it.

Don't worry...I'll end up dropping it on 5/10 NL and lose my first hand. It'll be like Rodney at 1:44 in this clip....up alot...then last minute grab the dice and lose it all before his buddy Pesci can even say "what are you doing?"

Move up to .10/.25. Immediately. You'll be at $1000 in no time (not counting losing $10 ChipTalk tournaments).

Since you all are sharing......I play mainly micro cash (2-4 tabling $.05/$.10) because I don't like to lose and I rarely drop a buy-in at that level. It's so easy to sit down for an hour and be up $20. It’s probably not the most profitable for me to not move up. I occasionally play $.10/.25 and $.25/.50, but I hate the downswings and I really just like playing for fun anyway, treating it like a hobby. You probably don’t believe this, but I can tell a decent difference between the level of play from $.10 to $.25. I mix in tourneys too, but am most profitable at cash.

Anyway, just playing a couple times of week, I was able to turn $25 into about $1k. I cashed out and bought a laptop, cigars, etc around the time the stupid law went into effect because I was scared of getting $ stuck in Neteller.

Then about a year ago, I decided to use FPP and was able to play the freeroll tourneys and got $1. Then grinded $.01/.02 and up until I got to $170. I recently won a 2,000+ player $1 donkament for a $350 cash. Back up to $550. Sold $120 to a friend who didn’t have any money in stars. Bought a Dunes Commeorative cash set with that. I like to buy things as I go along as a reward for grinding.

Should I move up or keep grinding where I am? I would love to top Chris Ferguson’s $0 to $20,000, but it will take me years at the rate I’m going.

I think the Xmas holday season is the best time of the year to play online. I find at that time, there are more Santa's playing.

Thanks all, though I donked off some of it last night.

Hit a small set on the flop (unraised pot) and another player hit a higher set on the same flop. Goodbye $$$. Then proceeded to make poor plays later on.

Time to grind it out again.
