Chips: 567 | | | Germany follows the US online gambling and then some. As most of the folks who play poker online in the US know; that although the US congress hasn't completely outlawed online gaming it has made it very difficult for
online gamers to get cash into gaming sites. There are some states that have made online gaming a felony. (Washington State) Now Germany has followed suite and completely has outlawed all online gaming. Poker News - Germany to Outlaw Internet Gambling Tomorrow
All I have to say is WTF. I don't really understand what the problem is. Sorry
Germans. I feel your pain. BTW the good news is that it somewhat goes against
the European Union rules.

So someone who's really addicted to gambling it's way better for him or her to loose 500 bucks in a 5/10 cashgame in a state casino instead of a 0.02/0.04 online poker table.
As you mentioned, something is against or conflicting with the EU law, so let's hope.

The government taxes the crap out of casinos and since they cant tax a casino online they see it as you stealing THEIR money.
To that I say "F@CK-EM and the horse they rode in on." |

I think this is as good a time as any to remind people that they should think first about freedom when it comes time to elect your political leaders. I don't know much about German politics, but if I were American I'd certainly take a look at Ron Paul . (who is btw the ONLY candidate for President who has said he would legalize online gambling)

Thankfully here in the UK the government was falling over itself in the rush to welcome online gambling companies after the US ban, so not much chance of this madness spreading. |

Call any government representative or senator or what ever your country has
and find their position on online gambling. Two lists. For and against.
Don't vote for the people on the against list.
Example
Ron Paul For online gambling

I agree with Ron Paul on some issues, but realistically he has 3 strikes against him.
1. From Texas
2. Republican
3. Is more Libertarian than Republican.
I don't have anything against anyone from Texas
I just believe the US as whole has had their fill of Republicans from
Texas. George Sr and Jr. That's 12 years folks not continuous of course.

Just thought of this, but he was born/raised in Pennsylvania, not Texas.
There you go, no reason not to vote for him.
