Playing 2/4 6max LHE i'm up $62 already. I like getting bonuses like this because I don't worry about normal bankroll considerations (my regular limit is .25/.50) As soon as I finish wrapping presents I"m going to take $150 to a 3/6 table and see what happens.
The best $$ I ever got from an online poker room was when I first signed up for UltimateBet. My credit card got denied, then it got denied for ePassporte as well, so I sent a check. Since UB didn't know I was sending a check, they gave me $10 cash and one month in which to use it (I guess they wanted my business). So I got to start playing about a week early.
Darn, I got a bonus up to $100 at 3x points a bit earlier, and $20 in free chips to play at the casino or poker. Thought that was a good deal but apparently they were much more generous to other players Although I'm still happy with my bonus, I gambled that $20 into $40 dollars and chose to take about $60 in the 3x bonus (won't have time to play more). Still $100 is 4 buy-ins at my level so I'm happy... but I 'd rather had received $125
I have gotten free money from PP in the past but not this time.
If you didn't know, anytime you have more in winnings than what PP gives, if you leave the time, the extra above is all yours. Therefore if I double up, I leave the table and sit down at another table and play only with what PP gives me. I have ran $25 into about $150 before I lose the original $25.
