I saw a 2 page ad in CardPlayer saying that Doyle's Room was open to US players again. So I went to their site and re-downloaded the software. Couldn't remember my username/password, so I initiated a live chat session (one of the things I really liked about DR). They told me that NY players are not yet allowed back. He said he didn't know why. Any of you have any ideas?

There are about 11 states with politicians so enlightened, that they have made online poker felonious. New York is one of them. Doyle's Room has decided not to tempt fate in those jurisdictions.

And that is partially why it is "illegal" in Washington. Strong Native American
gambling lobby and ignorant "progressive" voters.

That is not a coincidence. In fact that is the reason here in Washington, but no politician will ever admit to that. But they don't fess up to much anyway.
