I was going to call you bitter, but you're from Boston!

Professional sports have competition committees that regulate issues of fairness. Does poker, or on line poker, have anything like this?

Re: Is online poker data mining a form of cheating?

I don't play online seriously...so I'm not bothering.

The question is, can you play without it? IF not... (fill in your own insult). If you need these programs...are really even playing poker?

Interesting topic/thread. I haven't used PT yet. I've thought about it, but haven't taken the plunge yet. Is ti still an option to get through PSO?

I think that sums it up nicely.

Yes I'm listening to me.
I'm also trying to cause trouble at the same time...it's what I do.

I'm actually a bit serious(10% serious, 90% just trying to piss people off)...I'm sure there are people that rely too heavily on the data they get...if you can't put it to practical use live...then frankly I don't think you're playing poker...you might as well hit the BJ table.

Re: Is online poker data mining a form of cheating?

My position on this is that it IS cheating, or at least, unethical. I am a believer that if you can't use it while playing at a B&M Poker table, you shouldn't be able to use it while playing on line.

No offense but that's a pretty simplistic view of things. Technology causes things to evolve and change. Sometimes these are good and sometimes they are bad. Everyone has the same level of access whether they choose to use it or not is up to them.

i can't use a mouse at the b&m table. also can't use my browser to read email while i play.
