Chips: 11,925 | | | You guys ever have those moments? Where you know exactly what's going on in a hand, in fact it feels almost like you're a mad poker genius, yet you still make the stupid call/raise/bluff that costs you your stack?
No HH is necessary, because I do this all the time.

after the flop but call anyway.
There's a reason why Brunson harps on going with your first impression in
Super System. |

It also occurs a bunch when I know someone has been bluffing a lot. I will re-raise to get them to fold and inevitably it is when they actually have a hand |

No HH is necessary, because I do this all the time. | Like when you know the guy flopped bottom pair (because he's a loose-passive fish that hasn't folded to any preflop raise in the past hour, and "strong means weak" after the flop), so you raise with AK-high only to have him call. Ya, I stopped bluffing online a long time ago. I've found it's much more profitable to play textbook poker (bet strong when you flop top set because some idiot is bound to call you with bottom pair or A-high).
But I make that same mistake often enough to put a noticeable dent in my profit margin.
And hey, at least that strategy works on me! | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
