Where you know exactly what's going on in a hand, in fact it feels almost like you're a mad poker genius, yet you still make the stupid call/raise/bluff that costs you your stack?
It usually goes like this:
Yes! I hit my set.
Hmmm....he called that pot-sized bet.
That turn couldn't have helped him....
Called that one too? uh-oh...
He PUSHES on the river? The ONLY thing that could beat me is a straight and he would need J 8.
Does this qualify:
This guy limped 60%-70% of the hands and hardly raised, but he would then call any raise. When he was heads up on the flop, the raiser would either c-bet or value bet and Mr. Limpy (I will call him) would go all in. He would do this 8/10 times and take the pot every time. So I get heads up with him and have TPTK and he moves all in and I know that TPTK may not be good in many circumstances, so I call and Mr. Limpy has hit 2 pair and his call of my PF raise was extremely questionable.
In another hand, I hit second pair and a flush draw and Mr. Limpy does it again. I said no way he has it this time (but my gut says fold), so I call and Limpy has TPGK and I don't improve. Needless to say I berated him for an hour and I never type a word in the chat box except NH or GG.

Nah, he COULDN"T HAVE JACK EIGHT.
BUSTO
The number of times I have lost my cash game buy in an almost identical scenario. Invariably leaves me shouting "how?! HOW?!" at my monitor before giving up and going to cool down, telling myself over and over that if this person plays like that all the time, it's a goldmine.
Many times. Usually what trips me up is range. I talk myself into giving a range in hands where I know his cards. Or I bluff when I know they can't fold what they have.
