Do you wait only if it's a friendly home game and not if it's more serious poker? In my experience, waiting often irritates the dickens out of other players in more serious games and often in the casual games too. Not sure sure it's that much different when it comes to online play. Also not so sure that site problem vs. accidental vs. intentional disconnect or personal vs. anonymous opponents or casual vs. serious game makes much difference either. In all cases it's often difficult to judge with absolute accuracy just why somebody is missing.

BTW, as you all can see, I didn't think too long about taking all this guy's chips. I just shot first and asked questions later. It's good to see that my actions are supported by the finest poker chip community in the internets. |

That said, I've lost enough money online to not care if I win by less than honorable means. |

I have/do put it in the notes field when it happens more than once so I can be aware of it if I play that person again at a different time. |

I wait, but not an unreasonable amount of time. Say, 5 mins. If they aren't back in 5 mins, they're costing you money. If they come back, I'll definitely offer to play them again. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
