To this fellow from the midwest, it all seems to go together; gambling, drinking, smoking, cheating, adultery. Would the data back me up? Do gamblers drink, smoke, cheat, commit adultery more than the general population? For instance, how much in gambling winnings are reported by taxpayers that have not had a Form W2-G issued by the payer? — Posted by Chip"

How can we be sure that online poker is secure. I guess the answer is, there is nothing is 100 percent.

I would suggest that everybody read his book "Freakonomics", it is amazing. I have duel degrees in economics and finance, and it's amazing how he can hold the audiences attention while talking about his out-of-the-box studies. I think the kind of people who enjoy poker would most likely enjoy his book as well. <threadjack over>
This scandal showcases one of the main problems with online poker, security. If there is money to be made, some punk will cheat to do it. that's life, or as we say around here; That's poker! |
