I assume you saw the original post before I changed it. Decide to go a different way with it.

Re: Fold / Call?

I say call call call.

I assume since you're posting this here, you didn't win. Which means he played this hand a little on the sketchy side.

I also assume you just sat down since you're a blind in mid position. Which means no read on this gent.

I also say, you should have potted it on the turn.

Re: Fold / Call?

Fold the flop. GIGO. Once you hit the turn, you have decisions. Better not to have tuff decisions.

Re: Fold / Call?

I wouldn't say it's an easy fold but it's definitely a fold. He has one hand that people will limp in with or at least I would if given the chance.

Since no one raised preflop, his straight has you beat.

Re: Fold / Call?

Calling on the flop with ace high and checking the turn put you in position to lose a lot of money on the river regardless of what came up. A straight is possible, but it's also possible that someone called you with Ace high, and is re-raising with AK. I don't think they would have called a bet on the flop and then checked the turn with a set, although the bet on the flop suggests that he got at least a piece of it.

I'd personally call even though I knew I may not have the best of it.

Re: Fold / Call?

Floating the flop for a .25c wasn't a great play nor was it a horrible play. I had a few back door options and I was in position so a single bb wasn't a big deal. As for the turn, no way am I betting out here.

The river play was strange though. I figured my 2pr was easily best here and hoped my weak bet would get at least 1 caller. The C/R was a total surprise here. Generally I don't find many folks wanting to C/R the river in a pot that's been uncontested so far. With a str8, I can understand checking the turn and hoping some makes stab at the pot (turn for me, river for other guy) but then checking the river really threw me off. I would have expected at least some sort of weak bet on the river because I could just as easily checked it down. Based on this, I called figuring he put me on a steal/weak hand and was trying to push off both of us.

Basically, he played a non-standard line here and I just happened to catch RR for a hand willing to play with him. Give me just a single pair or less here and I'm not betting or calling many bets.
