Chips: 30 | | | What do you do when you lose 95% of your bankroll on one hand? I'm not even going to get out the HH for this because I'm so upset at it, but let me just give you the general idea:
I raise in CO with KK
BB calls
2 to the flop
Flop is A A K
BB checks
I raise
BB reraises
I call
Turn is K
BB raises
I reraise
He goes all in
I call
BB turns over AA
My bankroll went from around $400 that hand to $17.62. I'm so frustrated at that, I built that bankroll from $50, and now it's almost all gone. What do you do when this happens to you? I'm so apt to just give up because of this. |

The good news is that you can play that hand again for the rest of your life and never lose! |

I always tell myself "I won't spend more than this much at the table", which until this hand, I never ever did. This is the first time I ever did something like that, and I got burned because of it. |

With 18 dollar go back and start again. If you see poker as a challenge then you will do well.
Good luck..... |

and...spend the extra .5 seconds. |

Though I'm more guilty of playing and doing multiple rebuys at a bad game, with a bad mentality (never play with the , "Oh yeah, I'll show you" attitude...destined for failure). I just think of poker as a mental workout to keep the ole' brain working. I rarely deposit more than $20 or $30, just fun money since I like seeing the people. I like live play much more, though I seem to be neglecting going to the bank the past few weeks priior to the game...I guess I'm looking for that "all I needed was $20" weeks that have eluded me the past month or so.

I think I'm going to take a week or two off, then come back at low limit tables, work my way back up. I'm going to be on mega-tilt if I come back before a week, though. |

and...spend the extra .5 seconds. | Agreed......This has happened to me many times at PStars and FTilt build $50 to 300 or 400 to have the only person that has you close to covered pull a Bad Beat like that on you!
Now when I turn my $50 into $200 or $250 I will change tables. Sometimes buying into that table for a lower amount looking like a poor stacked guy, maybe $36.85, or something along those lines!
It's hard to do especially when cards are hot and the table is under your control. But use the will power and reflect on the big stacks of yours that dwindled to nothing because you didnt want to leave quite yet!
Its hard, I still have to kick myself in the a$$ to do it, I have a sign on my monitor that says .... "GOT $200? LEAVE!!!!"
They should have a bad beat jackpot, you would have cashed in big for that one! | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
