Chips: 793 | | | I'm in the Black!!! I'm finally in the Black according to SharkScope.com.
It took me awhile, after losing a $109 SNG last year. Then during the spring/summer playing above my limited bankroll, trying to recoup losses. Poor planning at best. Bankroll that's an oxymoron considering how I got a bankroll.
Selling play chips to fund my Poker addiction.
It really wasn't meant to be a poker brag (I'm not sure it even is), I'm just glad to be out of the Red.
Thanks again to TMJ2k for the HU lesson, it has helped my game, though I know I need to keep plugging away. I would have printed the screen (sharkscope) but I tried a few things and failed.

Just being a winning player puts you in pretty select company when it comes to poker. Everyone claims to win a little or break even, but most people lose.
Congrats and keep on plugging. |

As JIm has said, most players lose. I think I read somewhere that only 20% are winners. |

I know exactly what mj2k is talking about when he said that most people claim to win a little here and there, but are really loosing. I never even bothered to have an exclusive roll for poker until the middle of last year.
this is the first year that I have really kept track of my poker winnings/losses live and I am having a decent year playing live. I think it really pays off long term to track how you are playing live & I love rereading notes that i have made on play from certain players over the course of a year.
Online is so much harder than live (for me) - I think you should be proud of the accomplishment 7!! who cares if it sounds braggish...

I have heard the 20% figure myself, and I have heard "experts" claim the number might be as low as 10%. It is very understandable with the combination of sharks, rakes, tokes, and selective memory that haunt nearly all poker players.
Keep up the good work. |

I feel like I may as well take my entry and flush it. You post is encouraging, however.... |

I know for a fact I am in th red this year, but I also didnt really start playing seriously (read multiple times per wekk) until last Spring so I expected to be behind while I was ramping up. Hopefully I can change my postion by next spring
Keep up the good work

Toying around with SharkScope (not a member) and I just noticed the "more option" bar. I saw how poorly I played during certain months (July) and on what days (Friday). I'm not sure why I've played so poorly during those times but in the future I might just take July and do some R&R.
