Chips: 761 | | | Re: Last thread started from this cubicle Watched a few of your hands that you played on Full Tilt (free lesson ). On this particular hand you led out with a raise ($7) and a call. Flop comes with a King (K32), you bet almost the pot ($16) and he calls. Turn 7, you check he bets $15, you call. River King, you check he bets $75. You call and take a nice pot.
So my question is, if he bets the turn a little more aggressively, are you dumping your Tens? That $15 turn bet on his behalf, was one of two things, he's sweetening the pot if he has any King (KQ,KJ, KT ect.) or it's a total bluff. His river bet was good but it may have been too late. Nice call.
Now knowing that you were multi-tabling, do you have that much time to put him on a range of hands or did you just make a brief but good read.
Lastly, no I'm not paying for this lesson.
Hand in question:

Hand in question: | I was probably going to call a 3/4th pot or less bet on the turn. Its tough thought because he can bet pot here as both a bluff or for value and I can't really call if I think he'll fire again on the next street.
To me his bet seemed like he was testing the waters to see if I really liked my hand hoping that if I call it shows some weakness while building the pot. He would do this so he could either make a big value bet on the river if he hits his hand or make a big bluff. With the turn card being what it was there were certainly a lot of draws available, and I think if he has Kx or a set he's going to bet bigger to protect his hand.
The bet small on the turn and then mash pot on the river line looks very suspicious. And the second K coming makes the call easier since it greatly limits the combos of Kx he could have. Plus the K on the river makes it less likely that he is value betting QQ or JJ since he has to fear the river c/r. So when he mashes pot on the river he either has a monster or a bluff. His flop call and small bet on the turn really looked like a draw, so I thought he was definitely bluffing greater than 33% of the time which is what I needed to call.
So if he did want to run a big bluff he should have bet 3/4 of the pot or so on the turn, and then shoved the river K. I probably couldn't have called and his hand would have definitely looked like Kx. |

Anyways....Enjoying reading your blog while im messing around on some tables tonight...Also, ever considered getting in any omaha hi sessions in?...you should give it a whirl...lots of action, lots of variance and lots of Hold em players (at the lower stakes) who have no idea what they are doing |

Don't leave home with out it. Its probably about 15% of my monthly profits. Its also one of the best things to have as you are building a bankroll.
I also am an affiliate/ do referrals for a rakeback site, so if you need info on any RB sites let me know and I can probably help you out. or just check out the banners on my blog. |
