TMJ2k, I wish you the best in your pursuit of happiness on the Diamond and in the Cardroom. It takes some (base)balls to walk away from a guaranteed paycheck to chase these two dreams. Though I have no doubt that you thought this out prior to coming to this decision.
I just hope you don't face a team like the guy pictured on the left, during your first try out. They're a bunch of gorillas. A video of the same team, that makes the current Yankee offense seam like a group of National league pitchers up at bat. YouTube - Baseball Bugs
Good Luck!

I'll have one of my assitants from my entourage deal with this later....

So today is my last day of 9 to 5 for at least awhile. No more awful commutes on the subway every morning. No more sitting in this grey windoless office. No more hours on end staring at structural drawings. No more drinking coffee in the afternoon because I'm bored and it will keep me awake. No more always having to listen to music on my headphones. No more eating lunch at a desk while I do work. This list could go on and on and on...
Because starting monday morning I am a full time poker player, and aspiring professional baseball player. I have pretty lofty goals for myself in the next 6-8 months. I think if things go ok I should be able to reach them. If things go really well, then who knows !?!?
I've started a blog to chronicle this stuff, but more for my sake than others (I seriously doubt my life is that interesting). I have yet to write the first post. I'll link it up when I do.
brag over with. |
Livin the dream!!! Good luck, I hope you never ever have to work another 9-5 again.
