If you guys play at PokerStars, Humberto Brenes has been playing at the 0.10/0.20 limit tables every night for the last week or so, so if you catch him on you can usually play at the micro tables with him. It's pretty fun, I've played with him a couple of times, after a while there's a waiting list of like 125+ people, though.

That's really cool that HB would do that. I'm sure PokerStars is compensating him for his time at the micro-limits, but it's still cool nevertheless. Thanks for the info.

There should be alot more of this, imho. Pokerstars promotes an impressive staff of "team members" but until this report of Brenes playing microstakes, the lowest stakes I've heard of being played were $10/$20 by John Juanda. Obviously these pros have the bankroll to play much higher stakes and such but it should be part of their contract to play 'with the masses' twice a month or so. Hell, I even think there should be a once a year committment for them to join freeplay games!

I know that DN says he likes to play micro-stakes on occassion and try out some "Crazy game theory" and see if it works or not... supposedly he did that on FCP quite a bit and he was planning to do it on P*

When Doyle's room was in existance, Doyle, Caro, and others would play in a weekly freeroll. It was fun to watch the chatter.

AFAIK, being a "sponsored pro" by 'stars (and possibly the other sites) means the pro is responsible for playing X hours per month. I don't think there are any other restrictions, in that they can play whatever they like.
