Chips: 243 | | | Re: Is This An Easy Decision Early On? I think it was an easy call. Since you have both an ace and a king its much less likely that he has KK+ and more likely that he has a QQ or Ax. Also the fact that you already have 1/3 of your stack invested makes me hesitant to fold in a tourney so I'd rather take my chances to double up. If he does have KK you still have some chances.
Not too long ago I would have gladly folded thinking I was up against KK+, but lately I've realized that the odds are that he can very well have something else so I gambool more. |

I am assuming you dont already know how this guy plays and since it is only the second hand, this is what I would be the only part that I would be concerned about. He raised 6x the big blind in second position and then goes all in after your re raise, instead of a call. He is representing a huge hand, but you are in the small blind and he probably is not thinking you would be as strong as AK suited and figures you wont make the call if he pushes all in. So with that in mind and as jojobinks said you are getting almost 2:1, I think I would have called also.  |
