I have just downloaded the PKR software to my PC, which took around half an hour...mind you I was really stunned on the quality (if you don't know it's a real poker simulation) and really good fun too, with plenty 'o freerolls and good music & comments. I recommend checking it out if you are bored with the old run of the mill Pokerstars & Party. Oh yeah I forgot to mention you can totally change your character to look like oneself.

I have been playing on this site now for almost a year and I love it. They won't allow US players to player for real money, but the play cash games are great. The play tourneys aren't that good though. There are a lot of good players from all over the world on this site.
I found gameplay to be quite slow. With everyone worrying about making their character do stuff like chip flips and the like, it took away from actually playing poker.
It's been a few months since I've tried it, though, so it may have changed.
ive just come back to PKR after checking it out on its initial release.
Ive found the omaha games pretty loose but full ring games can be slow. The chiptricks and animations wear thin after a while and anyone whos there to actually play poker rarely uses them, although it does add a certain element of provocation to the game.
