Heads up play money practice?

I was wondering if anyone of you has a clue where my poker buddy and I can practice online our heads up play? All the sites I've checked it is only possible to join a (minimum) 6 player table and hope that nobody else joins.. but after 1minute (maximum) the table is filled with unpleasant fishes...

Hope for some responds!

Thx for your help!

Pacome

Re: Heads up play money practice?

Me and my buddy did this on Bodog yesterday. We just called each other found a Heads Up sng that was empty and we both got in at the same time. The cheapest one they have there is 5$, I am not sure if you want to do cash game HU or sng style.

Re: Heads up play money practice?

Hmm.. I think I've heard some sites offer passworded tables, that way just the two of you could play at a FR table.

Re: Heads up play money practice?

There are some desktop programs that allow you to do this over the internet.

http://www.ddpoker.com/

I used v1 (no internet opotion) and it wasn't bad but I don't have any experience with v2.

I believe there are others to.

I haven't tried this, but you can check out this:

I remember seeing this during the NBC heads up tourney. Hope this helps!

Re: Heads up play money practice?

A while ago I did this exact thing with a buddy on Pokerroom. I have no idea if they still allow it though, because it was a long time ago.

Re: Heads up play money practice?

I used to create private play chip rooms - 2 max on PokerRoom. We'd play for IOU. LOL.

Re: Heads up play money practice?

Yes, you can easily do this in pokerroom.com with play money.

Click on the "Private" tab. Then press the "Create Private Table" button to make a custom table. Choose the blind levels. Set it to 2 max players. You can also choose whether it is a "private" (locked) or "public" (open to all) table. If you choose private, then your buddy can ask to be seated. If you choose public, anyone could sit down but likely your buddy will find it if he's online and sit down first. The table disappears after you leave.

Note: Just recently pokerroom changed their log-in procedure to increase security, so you will have to establish a new password and get an e-mail from them to activate it, but you only have to do this once. You have to do this even if you are only using play money.

Re: Heads up play money practice?

The prima poker network (Royal Vegas, Aztek Riches, and others) had tons of heads-up PM tables. I have not been there since the U.S. lockout but guess they are still there.

That reminds me that I never pursued getting my real cash out and it's still locked up there ...
