Chips: 137 | | | People online/on tilt Ever play on a table where someone gets bent out of shape over something you type....then they go on tilt for two hours?
I was playing .10/.20 7 stud on P* last night (trying to learn the game and expand away from HE, been playing a bit of Razz too..fun,fun,fun). I've got my full buy-in plus a few bucks, I get dealt 8,8,j...anyway long story short, on fifth street I've got 2 pair, 10's and 8's, there's one other player in the hand, he's only got about .46 left and there's about $2and change in the pot...on 6th street he's now showing 4,4,X,4...he bets I call (figuring if I catch a 8 or 10-there were none showing- I can scoop a pot, plus he can't over bet on the end with just one or two bets left) so I catch a 10 on the river for 10's full to his 4's full and he goes ballistic (I type "ouch"...stupid play by me ...but I caught). I felt him...then I felt him again...then a few others on the table start gunning for me.... I proceed to triple up through them. Two guys non stop bitching about the one hand I caught on the river, they didn't complain when everyone else caught on the river.
I hit a straight flush against one of them...hehe, caught it on 6th street and he started reraising...finally got a NH out of them...when he declared he was leaving after one more hand...I caught A,A,A runner runner on the end... lovin' it.
Why do peopl eget upset when people catch? It's poker, it's online, there are a million whackos playing. And sometimes you'll have 15 outs to catch and it's limit....I think I'm priced in.

Because people just do not get it.
Tilt probably drains more rolls that anyone realizes. I love it when I can get in on the cheap with some drek, hit the flop - and tilt off the tables resident loudmouth. I love it when they start gunning for me - as I no longer need to be deceptive to build a pot.
Hopefully - he threw a note on you as to how big of a "fish" you are. You then get spillover tilt the next timne you play them.
The funny thing is - with 2 and change in the pot, you have like 20-1 odds to call that .20 cent bet. If your 4 outs are live (2x 8 and 2 x T), you have the correct pot size to call that bet. Heck - you almost have odds for 2 outs. |

They hear the "poker is a game of skill" crap on FullTilt commercials and feel like they should win just by sitting down. Fact is, the "skill" they are talking about and the "skill" people think is involved are two different things. |

He eventually chilled out after 2 hours...but TWO HOURS of bitchin'???? Hey I get sucked out on and I can get upset...I don't type anything...not a "NH" or anything...Just file away under "chaser" and hope to make some cash later when he tries again.
I actually took the opposite stance on the guy, he was berating me and I kept telling him I was falling in love with him....I'm not gay, but you are making me think of switching teams...kept telling him how much I really wanted to meet and get to know him...sent him off the deep end. He was flabbergasted, instead of me coming back at him I completely turned it on him...hehe. How do you deal with a guy telling you that you turn him on with your banter....lol.

You make an unacceptable comment live, you might get one in the face. Also some place might eject you out the door. Bellagio is famous for that, they don't take any nonsense. |

Aren't you playing to take the other guy's money? He knows that there are hands where he could lose...telling someone "sorry" is kind of silly. "I know I played it to the river in the hopes I would catch the 4 outs I had, I did and sunbsequently won the hand, I am sorry that probbility allowed there to be outs and allow me to win this particualr hand. I guess I should never have played the game to begin with."

Its always frustrating to loose to a gutshot or other miracle card I guess I should say "ha ha" or similar if I take down a pot like that to help them into a tilt. |

You're playing poker. There is no sorry. The goal is to win everyone's money. I usually never talk at all at the tables, unless someone starts complaining. Then I start laughing at them when they lose and asking if they need a tissue. |

Plus the TV is usually going, so I've got no time the chat...unless someone starts being an idiot...then I'll help them become a bigger idiot.
