I have found lately that I can make NL more interesting by 1) playing at work (anything is more exciting then checking structural drawings) 2) playing higher than my experience dictates I should (I am always playing at least .5/1 NL now) 3) not using a HUD so I actually have to get a feel for the action (I'm at work so I don't have PTer).
I'm actually enjoying it as a break from limit, and will probably get in a couple thousand hands this month. Plus like 70% of the people that play NL are apparently clueless, whereas this number is only about 30% for limit.
also quick brag: I laid down AQ (@ a 6max table) on an A95 flop to a big raise on the flop after a guy CC out of the blind. He flashed me AK, and seemed impressed by my laydown. he then donked off his entire stack to me trying to bluff the river when he missed his flush.
beat: I misclicked in a $60 pot when I meant to call with what I believe was the best hand. freaking work getting in the way of my pokering. |

I had almost that same hand the other day except I was the guy with KK. Almost folded it preflop when the SB (8/2) makes a big reraise; I didn't and stacked off about 50bb. SB has AA and CO (called pf) shows QQ with Q high flop.

| That's what I've been trying to tell you . NL 6max is full of people who hate their money. Quote: |

| Nice. He's one of the 70%.
I don't understand how people get bored w/NL 6max and/or play it too tight. I raise AA-22, AK-A9, KQ, KJ, toss in some SCs and steals, and open in LP with J9s or better. And I occasionally re-raise donks and nits (value and steal).

What software are you using for those graphs? They look cool. Do they work with Poker Tracker or Poker Ace? Thx. |

yeah I'm playing like 25/15 pf with about 30% ATSB. I definitely play laggier than a lot of the nit-bot set miners on there.
I'm winning 14PTbb/100 right now, but losing with AA and AKo. Once I learn how to win with those hands I will be a NL master...for now just another limi donk. |

Chips: 7,134 | | | Re: I run good: or...is it just this easy? I posted this in my other thread, but I think the software is kind of buggy... it is a Beta after all. But I was in a hand with AJ and the flop was QT9. We ended up all in and he showed T6. So my equity is 52% according to Poker Stove... yet Poker EV says my net Sklansky Bucks were -0.26. It shows the equity in the graph correctly, but not in the actual calculation. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
