TYVM sir. My guess is that I just play really tightly, and I only get all the money in when I'm way the favorite (i.e. as opposed to a lot of top pair hands like jojo is probably doing playing a short stack). We'll see after, like, I dunno, 2500 hands or something.

Even 4 tabling I felt like nothing was going on. 3-tabling 6max limit I feel like I have important decisions to make the whole time, but 4-tabling NL I felt like I could watch tv and surf the net and still not miss anything.

That's part of the appeal. I dunno, I played $25NL this weekend (had been playing $10NL months ago), and it was much looser than I remembered. I was having raises before the flop called by 3 or 4 people, which was really hard to believe. They are still pretty tight after the flop, though. I got a few to stack off with top pair using some creative betting, but other than that I could win a c-bet and not much else.

$50 NL at FT is kind of weird. Time of day matters alot as to whether you're with a bunch of nits or fishy idiots. Today I doubled with Aces because I raised the hand before. One guy was basically straddling by min raising every hand. Besides, it's fun to re-raise nits light (airy) preflop.

But, like yeltzen said, the simple decisions are part of the appeal. Who wants to bust their a** on tough decisions pushing thinner margins when they can watch tv and surf the net and still make the moneys?

that probably is a lot of it. I was playing on saturday evening around 5-6pm so the games were probably dead right then.

hmm. I was playing earlier in the afternoon (1-3ish) and there were some loose tables.

Try the .15/.30 deep stack game. There's never a bad one in my experience.

Weekends are the worst. I bring my laptop to work so I can play on my lunch break. The tables are much better during the work hours, it seems.

In my experience, I've always found the weekday nights more profitable than the days. I figure the grinders are probably playing throughout the day while the working stiffs looking for some recreation/relaxation are more likely to play in the evening.

Still pretty close. I had a lucky run for a while, but balanced out. I'm convinced this means I play way too tight.

Ever since I started playing 6max limit I feel the exact same way. I played some NL and was bored out of my skull. Maybe we're just action junkies?
