My guess is that I just play really tightly, and I only get all the money in when I'm way the favorite (i.e. as opposed to a lot of top pair hands like jojo is probably doing playing a short stack). We'll see after, like, I dunno, 2500 hands or something. |

I played another couple hundred hands this weekend. still super boring. Stacked a guy with top set to his bottom set, and made some money with AA one hand, but jezuz christ those guys are a bunch of nits. The decisions are all fairly simple, and it is so boring. Even 4 tabling I felt like nothing was going on. 3-tabling 6max limit I feel like I have important decisions to make the whole time, but 4-tabling NL I felt like I could watch tv and surf the net and still not miss anything. |

I dunno, I played $25NL this weekend (had been playing $10NL months ago), and it was much looser than I remembered. I was having raises before the flop called by 3 or 4 people, which was really hard to believe. They are still pretty tight after the flop, though. I got a few to stack off with top pair using some creative betting, but other than that I could win a c-bet and not much else. |

Time of day matters alot as to whether you're with a bunch of nits or fishy idiots. Today I doubled with Aces because I raised the hand before. One guy was basically straddling by min raising every hand. Besides, it's fun to re-raise nits light (airy) preflop.
But, like yeltzen said, the simple decisions are part of the appeal. Who wants to bust their a** on tough decisions pushing thinner margins when they can watch tv and surf the net and still make the moneys?

Try the .15/.30 deep stack game. There's never a bad one in my experience.

I bring my laptop to work so I can play on my lunch break. The tables are much better during the work hours, it seems. |

I figure the grinders are probably playing throughout the day while the working stiffs looking for some recreation/relaxation are more likely to play in the evening. |
