Re: What do you do here...

I would definitely raise, hoping one or both of them has a deuce or possibly an overpair and will pay you off.
Making the pot bigger with a raise now will also make it easier to get their whole stack in later on. I like your raise with the 88 in position, though i would sometimes call in that spot too.

That was the same thought that I had but if player raises my way and I RR as apposed to call there maybe a chance that they fold to RR. What do you think about calling if there is a bet??

Re: What do you do here...

limp along preflop. if a flop like this comes you want everyone with you. if it comes KT7 it doesn't matter how many players there are. there are only good flops and bad ones. the good ones are very good and the bad ones are very bad.

see what i mean?

as for now, the only way you'll get called by someone that's not an idiot is if they have an overpair. you have the deck crippled. call and try to get turn action/overcallers.

btw, you have nothing to fear here. either you're crushed by 22 or your opponents are drawing to 2 outs each. slowplay is fine.

Re: What do you do here...

I would have raised more on the flop. Either he has something or else he is going to fold anyway. If he has over pair or a 2, he is going to call bigger bets. If he has nothing, you are not going to make anymore. 1/2 - 2/3 pot bets are about right most of the time.

ditto to everything Matt said.

You have position - use it. This is a EXTREMELY weak flop. No flush or st8 draws out there. Unless the other players have stong overpairs (or are just idiots), your raise may kill all future action or worse yet - blof them off of the hand right now. If they are weak, they fold right away. If they have an overpair, they may call the flop raise - and then check fold to any future action ( or give you very limited action).

Wait for the turn action - then you can build the pot a little more. If they check-fold then, well---- they would not have called you on the flop. With any luck, a J/Q/K hits and you can hook someone into paying you off.

Re: What do you do here...

min raie bad----

Minimum raises can be a usefull tool if you are playing against the same players all of the time and are trying to mix up your play (not good to overuse). Lower limit tables - this is usually a big sign of strength, especially when done into two people. In your case - you scared one of the players out of the hand. Now, you need to drag 2x as much from one player on future streets to have the same impact. Jojo's hand shows a good example of a betting pattern to use to maximize return in these hands. Even though calling the flop will create a smaller pot, you have a higher % chance that one of them will bet out on the turn. If not, you can throw out a smaller bet that will be much less suspicious than the flop raise. Even an overbet in that situation may look like a steal attempt and get you action.
