Nope. Last night I did something similar with my 77 vs QQ for all of the other guys chips after a blank flop; turn is of course the 7c and he's sunk. Not sure what he was saying for all the #$^@ symbols; when we got it all in I just felt like a 7 was coming off, and when I mentioned this he didnt find it nearly amusing or interesting as I did.
Still why curse about something and not be able to have the other guy read it. Much more effective at home games.
nah - this was that 1% fo the time when you were not evil
seriously - it is not like you were rubbing is face in it, we WOW all the time when some sick hand develops in the CT games.
Had something similar happen in a SnG -
I raised from the sb as a steal with Q7 - flop came Q84. I cbet 400 into the pot - and call his allin (600 more vs 2200 in the pot). He flips up QJ and I hit a 7 on the river.
The guy just went mental.
Usually I let them rant and let the field think I am a fish - but I could not help but pile on as the REST of the table started trashtalking him (he really was being an idiot).
He was just not letting go of the fact that I had Q7 in my hand - like a pitbull with a steak.
lol - like QK or AQ would not have played the hand in exactly the same manner (or any other hand that had him crushed onthe flop)? He could not rationalize that the QJ was not really worth playing given the situation. I even went into niceguy teacher mode for a bit to explain to him how HE misplayed the hand. I was the tightest player at the table (hard to believe - but true) and had not shown down anything other than a solid hand all game. I also had folded like 10 hands in a row. Easy blindsteal moment- and once the Q hit I was good all day (and so was he - but he still did not get the point). Dude would not even recognize the fact that if the tightest player at the table raises you (I was 10% VPIP, all but one at teh table was more than double that) - no matter how much your gut tells you that QJ should be played, you really need to evaluate the entire situation and realize that you are usually an underdog and will be trapped if your hand hits. Plenty of CT players that I fold that bet to no matter what (placing me in the BB). Congrats bud- you got lucky and we both hit the card that would get me to commit, poker happens. Keep beating your mighty chest, cuz nextime I have mor ways to drain your chips.
Some people do not get it and will gripe no matter what - let them.
I see nothing wrong with your comment. The other player is an immature idiot for saying what he did. I have been in his position many times. I just exit quietly.
You put all your money in when he did. Once you do that you both are simply stating that you'll let the cards decide. Well they did and no matter what you say - if the other guy can't take a beat then it wouldn't matter what you would have said - he'd still be mad regardless. You simply reminded him that a 2-outer still can win every once in a while.
