I am trying something in a current P* tourney, and wonder if anyone else has done the same. I am playing in the $50+5 $25k guaranteed that started around 5:00. I have had the tourney lobby up behind the table, but having the table cover everything but the number remaining and the number of players paid, which happens to be 180.

Anyways, I figure by doing this, I will have no look at the payouts and "try to survive". I can focus only on accumulating chips. Has anyone else done this? Does it seem to take away the psychological edge to try to survive, and rather just try to win? Think it might work?

You are stilling looking at the number of players paid and players remaining but not the amount from what I understand. What is the purpose of not looking at the $$$'s too? If you don't want to just survive, don't look at any figures.

Personally, I would want to see remaining players, position and amount paid for each position. Then I can make up my mind whether it is worth it to just make the money or go for high finish vs busting out.
