Thanks for all the answers. I was considering helping some of those that requested transfers but on second thought, I think I will pass as I will have to deal with Cdn. $ exchange too. Just too much trouble to help people I don't even know.
Another way to fund the accounts is by using Visa gift cards that can be purchased at any covience store. They are reloadable too. I know it doesn't help in a time crunch scenario but just wanted to throw it out there
Also - if you are going to be the one accepting the paypal $ be sure to add the 3% + $.30 fee you will be charged for accpeting $
I've had several folks transfer P* to me...can't remember anymore...I usually send them the paypal, then tell them to deposit whatever is left after fees... I've done it with some respectable folks..so I've never had a worry.
If paypal happens to check this thread, I'm lying, I never did this...it's wrong...I never do things that are wrong.
Yes, I've done lots of transfers for PS & FTP after receiving Paypal (and one the other way). If Paypal says your money's there, then it's there!
The only slight risk is something I heard of from unscrupulous eBay scammers. They'll send you a fake email that looks like the Paypal email saying "xxxx has sent you funds via Paypal" and try to rush you to send their goods right away. If you send the goods based just on the email, then you're screwed. So always go to paypal.com yourself and check your balance/history.
Those visa cards at the stores dont work anymore. just got a 100 dollar card and put it on the site and they declined me. I called the customer service and the first thing they said on the automated message was that after july 10th they could no longer make transfers to gaming sites.
I don't know who started all this, trying to ban Americans from poker sites? It makes you guys look a bit irresponsible although there are irresponsible people in all nations. I heard if you live in Nevada you can't use poker sites? Is this because they want you playing in the casinos? I live in England and theres tons of gambling here & no-one gives a **** if you lose all your money. It's your problem. I'll add less casinos thousands of sports books.
But I do think it's wrong to take away any freedom of choice.
scammer sends you money on PayPal
you transfer on poker site
scammer disputes the transaction on PayPal
since you just did something against TOS, you can't complain
