Re: perhaps the greatest play in online poker history
I had this exact thing happen to me at a live cash game 2 weeks ago. I raise big pre-flop with QQ. The lone remaining guy (mr. money bags/I'm wearing my lucky hat tonight) says "you probaly have aces or kings" and then proceeds to call with K7 os. Unfortunately, he spikes a K. I asked him why he called if he thought I had AA or KK? He didn't have an answer, just shrugged his shoulders and laughed. WTF? I love having the guy at the game because when he is running bad he will continue to dump money.

I wonder also about Gorantis' raise w QQ. Seems a bit much unless he has observed this other donkey for a while, or similar donkeys at this table. Wouldn't you expect that raise to be called only by AA or KK? Is it profitable?

I actually had someone in a .50/$1 (it may have been a $1/$2) game at FTP reraise me all in when I was holding AA and he only had K7 suited and he proceeded to make a flush and I lost $60! I was absolutely dumbfounded. I guess his raise was better than a call, but it was still pretty boneheaded. Yet I was the one out $60 dollars in one hand!
So my point is I'm not sure how I would feel if I were the guy holding queens and he turned over KT suited. On one hand I'd be pretty psyched, but I think I'd also be cursing inside as I sweated out the board. (And I'd probably pull a Helmuth if the guy sucked out!)
