| | | Are there any GOOD players that play with Play money?
I've been playing on TruePoker for a couple of years now, and I tried to play for real money a few times but was not very successful. So, I play with play money there.
It seems to me that the other players there are just a bunch of all-in idiots who could not play themselves out of a cardboard box. In short, they don't care about playing poker.
The question is:
Is there a site where you can play with Play Money and get a good game of poker?

I'll be yer huckleberry.... 
Full Tilt has some decent play once you hit the 10k level and up. (getting there can be brutal though, as the lower 250 start-out tourneys are donktastic) I was working my way up to the 100k tourneys, but went on a cold run, got bitter, and donked off all my chips.

I'm not a good player but I was lucky to max out at Poker Stars with play chips. The high level SNG's (80K) are worth playing. You'll still have some Donks but the play isn't that bad. Also, you could always play the Lo Limit money SNG's, they're not too bad.

Some of the best play-money players (online mode) you'll encounter, and one of the best poker programs (AI for playing alone) available. Even has a built-in poker clock for hosting home tourneys! |

What I do is play as many 300+20 SNGs as it takes to get enough play chips to enter the higher ones (2000+100, etc.) I've noticed there are a lot fewer bozos in those, and it seems to be a better time. Finish in the top 5 a few times in those and you'll be set for the even bigger play money SNGs. Those are a blast. |

I guess the highest S&G that truepoker has is the $500+$10 that I've been playing in for a while. It is still pretty donk-filled.

Play money play varies from site to site , but mostly it depends on the time.
Late late is usually best (after Europe is asleep, no offense  ), and certain times when there are less ameri-kiddies.
Playing PM is is a good excercise in table adaptation (even though it can be really annoying) IMHO.
But at least you are not really losing anything when a donk calls 4 pot sized bets to the river and gets his one out.

I tried truepoker one last time, and this was the last straw.
First two hands that I played and consecutive hands:
me - A10
Raise 5x BB - 3 calls
Flop - 2 7 A
I bet 1/2 Pot - 2 calls
Turn - 2
I bet Pot - 1 call
River - 4
I bet small wanting a call - 1 call
OPPONENT - 5 3 for a wheel
very next hand
Me - KK
Raise 8x BB - 4 calls
Flop - 2 7 2
I bet All-in(1/4 pot) - 1 call
OPPONENT - 3 2 for trip twos
Turn - blank
River - blank
I'm donked out.
I think im done with these idiots for a while.
