Chips: 18,540 | | | i played much bigger than usual just to squeeze in my silver star for the month. is that bad?
usually: .1/.25 nlhe
for the last 500 hands: 1/2 nlhe ed miller style shortstack.
results: down $300, then up $100. silver star achieved.
is this a bad example of bankroll management, or just the cost of getting access to the vip fpp store? |

I'm sure you have enough in your bankroll to handle the 1/2 game. What's the perks of the VIP FPP store? |

(thinly veiled silver star brag post, BTW!)

on the other hand, "bankroll" could be the amount of money that you've got to play with, in which case my guess is that you're perfectly fine playing 1/2.
to me, the key thing about "bankroll" is how easily you could replace that money if you lost it all. if what you consider to be your bankroll is equivalent to a good night out drinking, it can be treated much differently than if it's equivalent to 3 mortgage payments.
that said, achieving silver star is only worth it if there's a specific thing you want to get that requires SS status. the added freerolls aren't worth much IMO.
