Bodog.com offering prop-bets on the WSOP

Well, I didn't even realize they had a sportsbook, but then I read this article. Here's what they're currently offering. Max bet is $100.

3 bracelets or more for 15/1 odds aren't too bad. 1500 would be a nice payday.

"Will the winner of the $10,000 2007 Main Event be a previous $10,000 Main Event Champion? "

Getting 10:1 on this prop seems like pretty bad pot odds.

Well Since the US passed that bill?, The WSOP:ME field should be alot smaller. So it should be a bit easier for past ME winners, But I still would not bet on that one.

I don't know about that... according to that article, many sites are offering cash prizes for people who win tourneys that would have awarded seats in the ME, giving them the option to enter on their own. I guess I can only speak for myself, but if I won one of those, I'd have to go ahead and enter the tourney, not knowing when I'd get another chance at it. We may see about as many (or more) as last year and just not know the ratio of online winners to regular cash paying entrants. I hope it keeps growing. I want to see how big it gets. Imagine the prize pools!

Re: Bodog.com offering prop-bets on the WSOP

Harrah's did not accept any player buy-ins from third parties in 2006. So nothing new in that department for 2007. The Travel Channel is unloading their previously highest rated program. The poker boom isn't busting, but it has plateaued. I've heard this from several card room managers. I'll say 7272 for the main event, but I won't gamble on that number.
