For those swapping paypal $$$ for poker site $$$, please don't mention anything poker related in the paypal comments and such. I've swapped with a few folks but paypal has been checking these transactions and warned that I may be violating their TOS. I can only assume they are checking comments where folks mention pokerstars and other poker related sites and such. |

For example, I regularly pay for poker chips via PayPal and identify the transaction as "goods." So far I've never had a problem.
I don't know how people are marking these transfers, but it was just a thought... |

You can buy any poker related item off ebay needed to set up a gambling operation all of which is perfectly OK, but when you swap cash with someone which could be for an online [poker] site they rule with their mighty TOC?
Blow it out your arse Paypal. Take your hypocritical TOC and stick it where the sun don't shine. |

but at the same time you can't really blame Paypal for this kind of thing either. With the way the US government is violating foreign companies for no real reason other than to waive their "online gambling saber", I'm sure Paypal is just trying to protect themselves. After seeing they way our government treated Neteller, I'd be scared ****less about what they would do to me if I were Paypal.
The real culprit here is the BS legislation that was snuck into another bill and passed, and the US government's attempt to sidestep other larger, more important issues by making it a priority to enforce it. |

They think they are, in thier girth of wisdom- but they are cutting off the hand that feeds them. (well done ebay)
First off, they are invading the privacy of your transaction by reading or monitoring the notes section of your transaction. Secondly, they are acting on something, of which they know nothing about, nor do they have the authority to do so.
If I put "poker money" in the notes section, and pp rejects it, they are doing so without reason, cause or purpose. They have no idea what "poker money" is. They simply make the assumption that it is for an online site. And on that assumption, they bounce the transaction. Wrong in so many ways.
If I write you a check, and in the memo section of the check, I write "crack and hookers", mail it to you, you take it to the bank and deposit it. The bank doesn't read that memo, and base a decision to validate or invalidate the transaction based on the memos contents. They not only have no right to do so, but have no grounds in doing so. They know nothing about it, therefore can not act on it. For all you know, Crack and Hookers" could be the names of your two dogs, and I'm repaying you for the couch my dogs ate at your house.
F* PP
Just because they are the biggest, doesn't mean they are right, correct, or the best. Burn the TOC. It's useless. |

For the record, I play at Bwin at you can cash in and out with pp without any problem. Maybe because it's for sport bets and not evil poker. |
