Anyone up for a Thursday sidegame? Maybe MNP could be dedicated to this one week. Maybe we need a strategy thread! |

Re strategy, Annie Duke used the digits in a serial number on a dollar bill as sort of an RNG. She went fairly deep in the match, if I recall correctly.
What's next at UB. Casino War? |

It will be a good way to practice for the World Championships in Toronto! | My favorite quote from the book:
"Should a player open with Paper, rest assured that a counter of Scissors will cut it down to size."
WOW! Incredible! You can't find that information just anywhere! Thank goodness there's a strategy book! |

Chips: 7,134 | | | Re: Roshambo on UB Let's talk about Gambits... 3 consecutive, planned moves.
"The Avalanche"
Rock - Rock - Rock
"A subtle, yet aggressive gambit. It was the first of the triple gambits developed in the early 1890s. The Avalanche is a relentless and devastating maneuver; executing it requires bravado bordering on recklessness."
Yes, someone had to DEVELOP the strategy of using rock three times in a row. It's extremely difficult to execute, mostly because you may develop arthritis keeping your hand in a clenched fist that long. |
