Royal Flush to split the pot

I was playing my usual SnG's on FTP tonight when I encountered the craziest hand I have ever been involved in. It was down to heads up play from a 9 person SnG. I was slightly short stacked when I get so I decide to go all in. The other player quickly calls and turns up

I am basically toast

The flop comes we both flopped two pair & he still has me beat- great

Turn

River

Board shows a royal flush & we split the pot

I have never had anything like that happen to me before - it was CRAZY

I ended up placing second anyway, but that was a story I wanted to share

Anyone else ever have anything like that happen? That was a first for me
J

Re: Royal Flush to split the pot

OUCH - that sux Jose. I was so stunned by the roayl that I forgot to take a screen shot (and a little PO'd that I came in 2nd )

I did get a screen shot of my first royale w/ cheese ever in my poker playin history (live or online). The only issue is that I pasted the screen shot into a word doc and I can't figure out how to get it into a program where I can crop it (or how to crop it in word)

Re: Royal Flush to split the pot

I had the same thing happen to me but in a home game, about 3 years ago.

I was holding the 9 with Ace 10 King Queen on the board going to the River.

Then the Jack .

Re: Royal Flush to split the pot

FIRST HAND of a SNG a couple years ago.

Guy UTG limps, one call, I raise in mp 5XBB ($50) with AA, a cold caller, UTG re-raises to 250 or so, 1 fold, I re-raise to $600, 1 fold, UTG pushes, I call.

I have AA, UTG has AKo.

Board comes straight, 4-8.

Not as impressive as a royal, but unusual none-the-less.

Re: Royal Flush to split the pot

I've seen a royal on the board before, but didnt snap a picture of it... Here is one to chew on definately not a royal, but in the "same" statistical group of "it will be a while before I see that happen again". LOL

KKKKA - I busted out of the tourny the hand before.. The AJo chopped with Q6s...

1. Hit print screen button ("Prnt Scrn", often somewhere on top right, around function keys).

2. Open MS paint/photoshop/your favourite pic editing program

3. Ctrl+V

4. Crop

5. Save
