Jesse | a contuinetion bet is where you raise on preflop and making a bet on the flop even if you miss to pick up dead money and represent like you did not need to hit the flop ie High pocket pair |

What you say to some when they are telling a "fish" how badly they played a hand. |

fish comes from prison slang (if I'm not mistaken) ... basically fresh meat; defenseless. Like a "sitting duck". |

What you say to some when they are telling a "fish" how badly they played a hand. | Was this in response to answering what a continuation bet is? If so, clever. 'Cause "no tapping..." works two ways. You don't want to insult the fish and make them leave. You also don't want to educate the fish or, well, they'll no longer be fish (or at least they'll grow to become more dangerous fish). For example, that would be like me suggesting everyone go out and get a copy of Sklansky's "The Theory of Poker" or "Harrington on Holdem" or something... A stupid thing to do if you might meet them again at the poker table.
Oops. Did I say that out loud? |

I belive it must mean, "Nice play, you put me on overcards and when none came on the flop and you caught your straight on the turn, you had definitely played me very well. Nice value bet on the river, just enough to get me to call/comeover the top for with a bluff. Nicely played, here are your chips". Must mean this, because I always get handed chips after it's spoken.
