Parallels does not work with PAHud. Paste my reg code in and it simply ignores it.

I know VMWare supports a couple different network options (bridge and Nat), wonder if that somehow makes a different. I typically run in the mode where I get a dedicated IP versus a shared IP; I can never remember which is bridge vs Nat.

hmm, interesting. I'll have to check that out.

Parallels does work with gt++ but gt++ does not support tournaments. He hasn't updated gt++ since late 2005. Bummer.

bump for SUCCESS!

Parallels just released RC 3150 and it does, in fact, run PAHud. Now I just need to figure out which old HDD has my Poker stuff on it and I can get my database and layouts back! WHEEEEE!

Screw native mac apps, screw MacPoker Pro, screw java!

I have my old poker environment on my snazzy new OS, nearly transparently using Parallels "coherence" mode.

I'm using the trial right now but will definitely be purchasing the $80 program. Supposedly it will be able to play DirectX games soon.

complete pwnage.

After my initial giddyness I've started to think this isn't the best for EVERY mac user.

MacPoker Pro is barely adequate and subject to the horrible license I wrote about earlier. However, it WILL track your progress and winrate. It is a viable option for someone who doesn't want to buy parallels/PTracker/PAHud.

I'd definitely recommend going the PTracker/PAHud route to anyone who is SERIOUS about poker... if you're just playing recreationally then MPP will probably be fine.

PokerStars is in beta for their Mac client. Contact support with an interest and they will allow you to download the beta client. However, at this time, it is only on the play money part of PokerSatrs...but hopefully it will roll out with a final release soon.
