Company is in Panama (now the gov't will say that gambling $$ are going to drug lords), but you would have to submit to jurisdiction if there is a dispute in Van Nuys, CA. I guess a foreign co doing business in the US may need a domestic court for disputes, but that and doing business generally with US citizens subjects the company itself to US jurisdiction. This MAY (or may not) bother me. Although the focus appears to be on sportsbetting sites, how long will it take before the gov't takes "interest" in companies like this!? Also, they absolve themselves of a ton of liability.
I would take a look at 2+2 on this topic. I am not a computer/internet whiz, but it does not have the secure logo on the page and they ask for a ton of information and may do a credit check - WHY??. I would give it a little time before using this method.
Just my 2 pennies.

I believe these guys are legit (my guess is FTP was checking them out for a couple of weeks to make sure they were safe and secure before getting them hooked up) but I am always leary about putting the info they are asking for on the web.
ssn
credit info
etc.
there are also some pretty steep fees ($3 a month to keep the account open, plus $2.50 atm transaction fee withdrawals, plus other fees when depositing to sites). Since I'm not planning on moving a lot of money on and off poker sites anytime soon, I'm going to stick with gift2go prepaid visa giftcards if I need to put money on, and check to withdrawal. I might set up epassporte in the future, but I want to make sure that they survive the DOJ's latest inquiries first.
I think FTP's hope in setting up mywebatm is that, like epassporte, they are only dealing with pokersites, and NOT sportsbooks. The thought right now is that the DOJ is primarily focusing on sportsbetting operations and not really poker, but neteller was the number one transfer method to offshore sportsbetting sites, so that is why they got taken down.
just what I know so far. thanks for posting op. |

I don't plan on using it just yet, but I thought it might be a step in the right direction, and I would hope that FT would not involve themselves with a shady operation.
As far as the gift2go cards are concerned, does FT or P* require that you withdraw via the method that you deposited? Or, can you just get a check cut no matter what?
Thanks again!!

yes, FTP.
Hopefully I'll never have to deposit again but if I do it'll be with a prepaid visa. I also intend to cash out via check when I cash out. This year is all about bankroll building though so I don't intend on cashing out unless I hit it big in the weekly guarantee or something.

Are US banks even accepting checks from sites like
UB FTP and P*?
I was considering the prepaid VISA myself and doing the cashout check thing |

Chuck | can't withdraw to your checking account, but can withdraw to your mywebatm visa (phsyical card) and go and take out money at any ATM in the country. Then walk said $$$ to your local bank/ safe/ shoebox buried in the backyard. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
