Just go this email this morning. This will definitely effect the number of people competing for spots in the poker dome challenge. Too bad...I typically did quite well on that site.
I signed up with them months ago just to find out I couldn't play since I was in the US.
Right now there isn't anything positive going on about online poker for US players.
-Less sites mean more sharks
-Hardly and ways to deposit or make withdrawals
-Making deposits cost more money
-Making deposits are less convienent
-Making withdrawals will take forever
-This means less fish
-Neteller is making life very hard for people with money in their accounts
-Reports of ePassorte are criminal, and of course, expensive.
-People are getting caught in scams as a result of peer to peer transfers
-Neteller is lying about stuff
-Poker sites are taking peoples money
-Overall poor customer service in knowing the truth from off shore accounts or poker sites.
-Etc. Etc.
If you have already have a bankroll at a trusted sited you might try and grind it out, for now. Otherwise, I don't see playing online anymore unless things change back.
Update: I just received my bank transfer from Mansion today since I can no longer play there and they charged me a $16 transfer fee!!! This seems somewhat steep...and they never mentioned it when telling me my options for withdrawing my money . Oh Well, at least I did get my money out, better than loosing the whole $600. So, those of you who have not withdrawn your money, you may want to consider a check if that is an option, depending on the fee they are going to charge you.
