I'm always analyzing why people play certain hands and what their expected outcome of said hand will be after the flop, turn and river. I try to ask people those questions and receive a response that makes sense (to me at least). Rather than "they were suited" or "I play any picture cards" and lastly "these are my favorite 2 cars." As we know some ppl will play any ace rag too.
When it comes to limit hold'em I feel that I would lose a lot more than I would gain. Your knowledge of limit hold'em and most likely NLHE by far superseeds my knowledge of this game that we all enjoy.
Thanks for your response TheMightyJim2k, Irish | no problem, I was actually glad because it gave me a reason to write out and think through my thought process. I've gotten to the point where all of that stuff happens so fast now that I am playing 4 tables of 6max at once that I sometimes forget it can look a little funky. Thinking it through both challenges my understanding of the hand and the game and makes me think if I really made the best play. I'm still not sure that flat calling on the turn check raise is the best play, but I think it makes more money in the long run if he has a medium pair, as he will bet the river (and probably call my raise) vs folding to my turn three bet.
you're very welcome, and thanks for the question and interest and compliment. I doubt I am as good as you think, but it is always great to hear such nice things from someone.
cheers,

tmj2k | I know that many people can play multiple tables at once, but are you at that level where you can do that without losing a feel for the players at your table? |

I've also played about 50K hands of limit in the past three and a half months so I feel like I have seen about everything by now.
There are times when I am involved in three or four hands at once that I am probably giving something up (ie fold a marginal hand I should take one off with or miss a river value raise with a mediocre hand) but the ability to see 4x the number of hands more than makes up for this.
So I would say that I might give something up, but not much in reads on other players. It's more in just recognizing the most marginal situations where one play is slightly better than the other, and sometimes you miss those. |

I'm kind of in the same boat as I play anywhere from 3-6 tables ($50-$100 NLHE). Basically, the more tables I have going, the more ABC poker I play and less play the player poker. I would agree that the more hands, lesser quality play is a bit better than less hands, higher quality play. Its rare that I have 6 losing tables at once and its also rare I have 6 winning tables at once. Also, if I'm playing 1 table and get stacked, it affects me more than if I have 4 tables going and get stacked at 1 of them but am up on the others.
